Please don't feel stupid, yes I've heard a number of cases of this particular hack. The worst thing is that Google aren't fixing that vulnerability that lets them take over and remove your 2fa without validating it first!

I subscriber from Ukraine, and at day when i received notification about some criptocurrency i send report to gooogle that your channel is probably hacked, because i saw same problem with channel MatthiasWandel. In report i explained that i subscribed to a channel of woman that draw pictures, and channel turned to unusual content about cripto currency and few hours later all videos was removed and channel changed to another criptocurrency content channel. I happy that you get your channel back.

It looks like hackers may have been using him to sell bitcoin. He invests. They are looking for donations, but wouldn't hack you or anyone to get them. They ask. I'm sorry this happened.
